Joseph Pilates, the creator of the original Pilates method, struggled with asthma and rheumatic fever as a child, and incorporated breathing into his work to expand his lung capacity and support powerful movement. In our current pandemic times, breathwork is a free tool we all have available to us, to get our lungs in optimal shape, restore our breathing capacity, and improve our overall health and wellbeing. There is no part of the body that isn't deeply impacted by the way we breathe, from the musculoskeletal system to the hormonal, cardiovascular, nervous and immune systems.
Space is limited to 6 participants to allow for ample social distancing during the workshop. No Pilates experience needed.
